Together with Val d’Isere Tignes forms the expansive Espace Killy ski area, Val Claret is the highest of the Tignes villages and therefore the most snow secure. As opposed to the other Tignes villages it attracts a younger market due to its many bars and nightclubs. The accommodation is all 2 and 3 star and is either on the slopes or within a very short walk of the slopes. As in Val d’Isere there is a UCPA in Val Claret so we can offer our fully inclusive package.

The slopes above Tignes and Val D’Isere are high and north-facing and offer guaranteed snow cover for a long season, with the skiing on the Grand Motte glacier open 365 days each year. The residences in Val Claret provide easy access via the Funiculaire, chair lifts and telecabines to more than 300 kilometres of pisted skiing. The Espace Killy is essentially a ski domain for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders who want to explore new challenges on and off-piste. Early intermediates will be inspired by the wide sweeping runs that surround the higher Tignes villages and will discover a fantastic range of blues and more challenging reds on which to improve their technique. More advanced intermediates will relish the many steeper reds, many of which might be graded black in another resort, throughout the Espace Killy. Even the most competent skiers and boarders will be pleasantly surprised by the scope for adventure both on and off-piste. The Espace Killy enjoys a well-earned reputation as one of the very best resorts in the world for advanced skiers and boarders and is a mecca for experts from around the globe. The entire area has more than 10000 hectares of some of the highest lift-served off-piste, with a phenomenal record for fresh falls of powder snow.

The après Tignes Val Claret is what makes it the only choice for student groups who decide to descend upon Tignes. The most popular and largest venue is the Couloir based over 3 floors the bar staff make the best cocktails in Espace Killy. The Drop Zone is sure to have a live band playing each week and offers fantastic discounts to Piste card holders. The Fish Tank is famous for its toilets (worth a visit) and also shows all live sports on various screens. Other popular bars include Crowded House and Caz Cafe which are all open till 2am and will do there best to make your group feel welcome with plenty of free shots and flavoured vodka flying around! If thats not enough for you Val Claret has two nightclubs open until 4am the more popular being the Melting Pot, but you also have to give the Blue Girl credit for its tantalizing ladies and unapologetic attitude sure to make an impression.

The Tavern des Neiges located in the centre of Val Claret is the venue for the specialty meal, this is a Pierrade where you cook your fresh meat on the hot stone at your table it comes served with green salad, fries and a bottle of red wine. Always goes down as one of the best nights of the week!
