From day one On the Piste have been the industry experts at providing student groups with self-catered holiday packages to the French Alps. This option is a tried and tested sucess with a large proportion of our groups opting for it as it's easily tailored to suit your groups' varying needs but more importantly it is the cheapest way of getting to the Alps. Self-catering packages are available in all of our resorts. If you are unfamiliar with self-catered accommodation it is more commonly referred to as apartments. In general the apartments sleep between 4 and 6 people and incorporate a living area, a kitchen area, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a balcony. The apartment sizes and layout vary from resort to resort and from residence to residence. Unless agreed prior to booking we will ALWAYS put your group in one residence so you are all under one roof. Although we cannot always guarantee it, we request that all rooms are located close together in the residence in order to enhance the group feel of the holiday. We know that your holiday spending money is important and you want to save as many pennies as possible to blow in the resort bars and nightclubs. It is therefore standard for all our coaches to make a hypermarket stop around one hour prior to arrival in resort, this means you can stock up on all your food and drink at cheap prices especially as On the Piste customers receive an exclusive 10% discount . every little helps!
Equipment Hire - provided by the largest ski and snowboard rental company SkiSet. 100's of shops across the Alps and numerous shops in each resort means On the Piste can ensure your group go through hire on the Saturday of arrival quickly and efficiently. Dependant on your skill level and budget you can pick from three different levels of hire Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Ski School - In each of our resorts we use fully trained English speaking instructors either from the ESF or Evolution 2 dependant on your resort choice. We can offer you a range of lesson levels from total beginner to advanced and durations of either 6 hours or 10 hours. The classes are all between 8 and 12 people with each instructor.
Beginner Packages - include ski or snowboard hire plus 6 hours lessons at an even lower price. New for 2009 is a cap of 8 people per group on all beginner lessons. This should get the newer members of your club racing down the slopes faster than ever!
Refresher lessons, Freestyle and Race Training Workshops - now available as standard on all of our self-catered packages, taster sessions in either freestyle or race training, refresher courses for intermediates and advanced.

The beauty of the self catered holiday is that those people who are content with just the basic package do not need to pay a premium for parts of the package they do not require. When your members book online each individual will then be given the option to tailor his/her package to suit there requirements. Another huge benefit is you can market and sell your holiday at an extremely low price.
